2016 Conference Update: Schedule and Special Events

The schedule of events for OPA’s 2016 conference is below. Please note that we have two off-site events:

Friday September 30th, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the University of Oregon’s Knight Library, the Oregon Poetry Collection reopens. Join OPA presidents emeriti, local poet Tim Whitsel, and University of Oregon faculty members to celebrate poetry in Oregon, past, present and future. Bring books to donate: OPA is especially interested in recently published books and chapbooks! (If you can’t make it to this event, bring books to the conference; there will be a donation box.)

Saturday October 1st, 7:00 PM until they kick us out, at Tsunami Books: Open mic. Come support a landmark of Oregon’s literary landscape. Tsunami Books’ current location is slated for demolition next summer: come show support and help encourage them to find a new home.

Special Note: OPA is recruiting new board members; we have three seats to fill.
