Along with the winning works, a careful selection of the work of the most representative Hispanic poets in Oregon is presented. “Our Hispanic essence and our surrounding reality are anchored to the fact that we are Spanish speakers in an Anglo-Saxon world. We are Spanish speakers of diverse origins and with unique cultural nuances united by our mother tongue: Spanish. We live a thriving and fascinating reality… We can say that there is in Oregon a poetic vein in Spanish language that cries for being heard.”
