Carey Taylor is the author of The Lure of Impermanence (Cirque Press 2018). Her poetry has appeared in regional, national and international publications and in 2015 she was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Born in Bandon, Oregon, she has spent her entire life at the western edges of Oregon and Washington, including ten years in Salem working for the State of Oregon. She has deep pioneer roots in the Salem area and her Great-Great Grandfather was John Burch McClane (McClaine) who was the first postmaster in Salem. She has a Master of Arts Degree from Pacific Lutheran University in School Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree from Linfield College. www.careyleetaylor.com
