Larry Anderson was a college professor for 40 years. Upon retirement in 2002, he and his wife Christine (retired mental health professional) settled in Molalla to be close to family. Ten years ago he became interested in poetry and joined The Friends of William Stafford, The Molalla Writers Group and The Silverton Poetry Association. He has taken numerous workshops, has been tutored by Paulann Petersen and Cindy Stewart-Renier, published several papers in poetry related publications including an Anthology and his own Chapbook , Earthquakes. He has been very active in open mics including many in Silverton. Larry was a student of William Stafford in 1961-1962, and his favorite Stafford Poem is Lit Instructor, a copy of which he kept on his office desk for over 20 years.

Find us in the back room. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow. Our hosts, The Barrel & Keg, feature a wide variety of beverages and the food pod in the back has a rotating menu of options for dinner!
