Lidia Schiedler, was born in Mexico City as Lidia María Teresa Pérez Ruiz. At a Catholic Salesian school in Mexico City, the nuns polished her academic education including fostering a love of literature, science and religion studies. There Schiedler learned about sacred poetry, a subject that has been a constant in her life. She attended UNAM, where she obtained a degree as a Dental Surgeon; she has both taught Pediatric Dentistry and owned a private office. Since Schiedler moved to the USA, she has been part of the morning choir at the San Felipe Church in Dallas, OR. Some of her poetry was published in the 1st Anthology of Oregonian Poetry.

Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow. Our hosts, the Ike Box, feature a wide variety of beverages and snack options!
