CALLING ALL POETS: TIME TO PREPARE FOR THE POETRY SLAM

Calling all poets, aspiring poets, and anyone who wants to try their hand at sharing their voice. The Sandy Library Slam, although it is run as a contest, is a remarkably supportive and casual event. If you have ever thought about sharing a poem, this is a great place to give it a try.

The three categories this year will be:

Age 8-13
Age 14-18
Adults

All poems must be original. The Info & Entry Form will soon be available at the Sandy & Hoodland libraries, and on-line at http://www.ci.sandy.or.us/library. Deadline is April 10th to have your name included in the program; walk-in registration also allowed. The will be a panel of judges deciding the winners this year. The grand prize winner will receive $100; an honorable mention award of $25 will go to the winner in each category.

Please call 503-668-5537 for more information.
