Featuring Anita Sullivan

On her way to becoming an anthropologist, philosopher or translator, Sullivan got sidetracked into a career as a piano tuner, and this gave her a unique body of knowledge for poetry and essays. She earned an MFA in poetry in 2008, and since then has published three poetry collections and three collections of essays, the most recent The Bird That Swallowed the Music Box (Shanti Arts Press, 2008).
