Ann Staley has published three collections of poems: Primary Sources, 2011, Instructions For The Wishing Light, 2013 through Booktrope Press, Seattle, Washington and Afternoon Sky, Harney Desert, 8th Street Press. She has been nominated twice for Oregon Poet Laureate and once for an Oregon Book Award. She named herself the Poet Laureate of 8th Street a few years ago. Ann will be reading from a new chapbook, Age of Bronze (30+ poems and an essay) to be published in December. She hopes to have them available at her December Reading in Salem. Her favorite definition of writing: “Writing is thinking made visible.”

Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow. Our hosts, the Ike Box, feature a wide variety of beverages and snack options!

The Ike Box is located at 229 Cottage St NE in Salem, at the intersection of Chemawa and Cottage.
