Paul Suter’s roots are in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned an MA in English at UC Berkeley, 1970, and completed a Fellowship preparing community college English instructors at the University of Nebraska, 1971. He taught composition, American literature and environmental literature at Chemeketa CC. Today he copy-edits Oregon PeaceWorks, enjoys the arts, values political activism, and composes poems. His poem, “Invitations,” will appear in the spring 2020 edition of Willawaw Journal. In 2018, “Cathedral” was published in Moments Before Midnight, and in 2019, “The Mountains Do Not Hoard Their Visions” was published in Terra Incognita. He lives in Salem, where he is a member of the Trillium and Peregrines writing groups.
