Salem Poetry Project Featuring a Celebration of Erik Muller
In November we lost Erik Muller an Oregon poet, editor, and poetry supporter. Muller lived in Oregon since 1969, teaching English at community colleges in Coos Bay and Eugene. He is a founding editor of Fireweed and since 2002 the editor and publisher of Traprock Books. Muller wrote essays about Oregon poets, including Richard Dankleff and Vern Rutsala, among others. This evening three friends and colleagues, Lex Runicman, Charles Castle, and Lois Rosen will share personal stories and poems. Everyone will have an opportunity to speak during the open mic.
The Salem Poetry Project continues virtually. Each week presents a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow. For zoom details contact Marc Janssen at [email protected]
