Poetry Spoken & Signed: Works from Deaf Poets

For this last event of 2023 in its Poetry in Performance series, the Mid-Valley Poetry Society welcomes lovers of poetry both deaf and hearing. It will feature Suzy Harris, reading poems from her chapbook Listening in the Dark, about living with hearing loss and learning to hear again with cochlear implants. Gayle Robertson, arts and drama teacher at Oregon School for the Deaf, will do ASL interpretation of Harris’s reading.
