OPA is able to host events and support poetry in Oregon through our membership. In gratitude for your support, we offer many benefits exclusive to our members.

    • Expand your skills in workshops, share your work at open mics. Meet more poets at our annual conference.
  • Access to member's only submission categories for all contests
    • Enter OPA contests for a single low fee. Winning poets are published in our annual publication Verseweavers.
  • Complimentary copy of Verseweavers
    • Receive a copy of Verseweavers in the mail for free each year you are a member.
  • Foster young poets
    • OPA runs the Cascadia Student Contest. Winning poets at the K-12 levels are published in our online magazine.

    • Post your poetry events, share news of your publications, and increase your audience.

    • Submit your chapbook or full-length collection to the Oregon Poetry Collection housed at the University of Oregon's Knight Library.
  • Receive complimentary membership to NFSPS
    • Automatically become a member of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. Link to the quarterly NFSPS newsletter, Strophes, and be eligible to enter more than 49 national poetry contests for a single low fee.
