Food, Glorious Food! Poetry Workshop

In this workshop, we will read poems that feature food in a variety of ways: cultural expression, family relationships, memories, odes, political weapon, metaphor for larger issues, and more. We will then write food-related poems using prompts and the poems we read as our inspiration. This workshop is open to adult poets of all skill levels and publication history.

After you register, you will receive the packet with poems and the Zoom link to the workshop.

This workshop is a pay-what-you-can workshop ($1 up), with all of the money donated directly to For Goodness Cakes, PDX Chapter. For Goodness Cakes is a non-profit organization that provides children and young adults with celebratory treats made especially for them, be it for graduation, birthday, or another event. The baked goods are made by volunteers for recipients who would otherwise not have a cake (or cupcakes or cookies).
