Petals & Thorns: The Open Mic Experience is not a traditional open mic.

This is a curated poetry space designed for presence, connection, and storytelling that is fully received, not just heard.

Created in collaboration with Novel Book Bar, the experience reflects a shared commitment to thoughtful gathering and an environment where both poets and audience can engage in a more grounded, intentional way.

For the Poets:

While poets of all experience levels are welcome, priority is given to those earlier in their journey.

This space is intentionally designed to support emerging voices, whether you are sharing your work for the first time, returning to your voice, or seeking a more receptive and supportive environment.

There is no pressure to perform beyond yourself. You are invited to show up as you are and share your work in a way that feels authentic.
