Come feel the ocean breeze in an atmosphere that feels like a movie scene.We are so excited to meet fellow poetry lovers who are ready to inspire and be inspired. An evening at Shay’s Marina View Café is unlike anywhere else on the bayfront, with a front-row view of Newport’s working commercial fishing fleet.Join us July 18th for our very first Poetry by the Sea Open Mic Night! With enough support we will be making this a monthly coastal poetry event. We’ll be taking orders for coffee, non-coffee beverages, and fresh pastries from 5:30–6:15 p.m. with the open mic beginning at 6:30 p.m.Only 10 open mic slots will be available, with each reader having 3–5 minutes to share.
