Salem Poetry Project Featuring a Celebration of Clemens Starck

In March Clemens Starck passed away. Oregon poet and carpenter, he lived in the foothills of the Coast Range, outside of Dallas. He was the author of six books of poetry, including the award-winning Journeyman’s Wages (1995). As a poet and a carpenter, Starck graced Oregon with his craftsmanship for the better part of four decades. Charles Goodrich present a celebration of Clem Starck’s poetry and life. Attendees are invited to bring a Clem poem or story to share during the open mic.

The Salem Poetry Project continues at the Bush Barn Annex, 600 Mission St SE, Salem. Parking for the Bush Barn and Bush House is located off of High Street and the Annex entrance is just to the left of the main entrance. Each week will present a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow.
