
Salem Poetry Project Featuring Eleanor Berry
Eleanor Berry co-founded and chairs the Mid-Valley Poetry Society. The 2020 Beachie Creek Fire served as muse for her most recent poetry collection, Works of Wildfire, which won the 2022 Grayson Books Chapbook Award. A previous chapbook, Only So Far, was issued by Main Street Rag in 2019. Her earlier poetry collections are Green November (2007) from Traprock Books and No Constant Hues (2015) from Turnstone Books of Oregon. She is a past president of the Oregon Poetry Association and of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies.
The Salem Poetry Project continues at the Bush Barn Annex, 600 Mission St SE, Salem. Parking for the Bush Barn and Bush House is located off of High Street and the Annex entrance is just to the left of the main entrance. Each week will present a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow.
