Salem Poetry Project Featuring Juan Cervantes Morales
Juan Cervantes Morales is a poet and writer born in Oaxaca, Mexico; descendant of Mixtecs. In 2011 he published his first book of poems Voices of Freedom. Cervantes is a member of the board of directors of the Silverton Poetry Association, Oregon. He is the founder of the Latin poetry program at Espiral Publishing and was a contributing columnist for the weekly Salem Weekly.
The Salem Poetry Project continues virtually. Each week presents a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow. For zoom details contact Marc Janssen at [email protected]
