
Salem Poetry Project Featuring Liz Nakazawa
Liz Nakazawa has edited two collections of poetry by Oregon poets: Deer Drink the Moon: Poems of Oregon and The Knotted Bond: Oregon Poets Speak of Their Sisters. Deer Drink the Moon was selected One of the Best 100 Books about Oregon of the last 100 Years by the Oregon State Library. Her own poems have appeared in The Timberline Review, The Poeming Pigeon, Willawa, Turn, Amythyst Review, and Rock and Sling.
The Salem Poetry Project continues at the Bush Barn Annex, 600 Mission St SE, Salem. Parking for the Bush Barn and Bush House is located off of High Street and the Annex entrance is just to the left of the main entrance. Each week will present a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow.
