Salem Poetry Project featuring Paint & Write the Town

For the past eight summers, writers have joined visual artists in creating works inspired by gardens, parks, wineries, and other locations around Salem. Several poets who have participated in these annual Paint & Write the Town events will read their favorites from among the poems they have written or started en plein air. This year, the weekly on-site sessions for artists and writers to work will begin June 1 and continue through August 16.

The Salem Poetry Project continues at the Bush Barn Annex, 600 Mission St SE, Salem. Parking for the Bush Barn and Bush House is located off of High Street and the Annex entrance is just to the left of the main entrance. Each week will present a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow.
