
Salem Poetry Project Featuring Ron Montgomery
Ronald Montgomery is a St. Louis-born activist, linguist, educator, musician, photographer, and poet. As a world traveler who has lived for many years in foreign lands, he often speaks of his extended family, which circles the globe. Montgomery has completed several degrees and major accomplishments, but his proudest title and ongoing efforts are as Dad and Papa Ron. Montgomery is an author who has written and published 13 volumes of his poetry. His belief that intentional positivity and meaningful relationships lead to self-sustaining joy is a cornerstone for his coaching and writing. He shares, “This process is beneficial to every aspect of society, regardless of the culture.”
The Salem Poetry Project continues at the Bush Barn Annex, 600 Mission St SE, Salem. Parking for the Bush Barn and Bush House is located off of High Street and the Annex entrance is just to the left of the main entrance. Each week will present a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow.
