
Salem Poetry Project Featuring Sherri Levine
Sherri Levine is a poet, teacher, mental health advocate, and squirrel lover living in Portland, OR. She has published four poetry books: In Their Own Voices (Poetry Box, 2018), Stealing Flowers from the Neighbors (Kelsay Press, 2021), A Joy to See (Just a Larks Book, 2023), and I Remember Not Sleeping (Ferwood Press, 2024). She won the Lois Cranston Poetry Prize and Poet’s Choice Award from Oregon Poetry Association.
The Salem Poetry Project continues at the Bush Barn Annex, 600 Mission St SE, Salem. Parking for the Bush Barn and Bush House is located off of High Street and the Annex entrance is just to the left of the main entrance. Each week will present a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow.
