Salem Poetry Project featuring Thomas Mitchell
Thomas Mitchell received an MFA from the University of Montana where he studied with Richard Hugo. Mitchell’s poems have appeared in many reputable journals. American poet, Joseph Millar describes Mitchell’s poems as “fully alive to the moment, yet haunted throughout
by a dim nostalgia. I most admire their clear language and close attention, in the tradition of Jim Harrison and Wendell Berry.” His poetry collections include The Way Summer Ends, Caribou, and Where We Arrive released in 2021. They are available for purchase at www.losthorsepress.org
The Salem Poetry Project continues virtually. Each week presents a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow. For zoom details contact Marc Janssen at [email protected]
